As the leader in push-to-talk, we expect challengers. And that’s fine with us, because Nextel Direct Connect® is clearly a superior product. Yet, some competitors will inevitably come at us with elbows flying – like Verizon Wireless in their current television commercial. Clearly, they want to confuse the market and create a misperception about our push-to-talk commitment.

This effort to mislead actually opens a great opportunity for us. By drawing attention to the unique world of push-to-talk, our competitor is spotlighting an area where we outshine them by far. And, we welcome the chance to compare our push-to-talk service, using facts that show we’re the clearly superior choice.

For example, here are th...

How pitiful does your life have to be, that you spend your free time bashing a company you personally don't like?
Dude, seriously, get a hobby, or a girlfriend, or something. We get it - you hate Sprint! Ok, if you seriously think Sprint is going under, put your $$$ where your mouth is and short sell the company's stock! At least make some profit on your predictions of doom!
Once you cash in on your predictions of failure, feel free to tell us all how you told us so months in advance, otherwise, please just STFU!
Thank you, and have a nice day! 😎

Really well said. My only question is if Nextel is so wonderful why is Sprint trying to sell it? I am not trying to start an argument. I too think it is well ahead of Verizon's I am just curious.

i am guessing because it is not as profitable as we once thought it was, plus with the pressure of the government to give up spectrum by a certain date. nextel by itself will prolly stand a better chance to survive if we sell it, i think EVERYONE has learned their lesson on buying and trying to incorporate 2 totally different technologies together.

p.s. that wasnt my words btw, that was in an e-mail sent to me at work, i do not wish to take someone elses credit. 👀 if you knew me from here you would konw i am not that intelligent to create something like that 🤣

😕 I am wondering. Why try to incorporate 2 totally different technologies together? Why not keep it separate as Sprint and Sprint Nextel? Are there not alot of different companies that sell different items without combining all the techs into one? Nextel, by itself, obviously fits some peoples needs or the government would not be trying to take the spectrum and Verizon would not be trying to copy it. Then Sprint fits a different niche. Why is it necessary to combine the two?

I have personally used a new Moto adventure and they are mega slow.

I noticed one poster on YouTube described Verizon's actual latency as being around 9 seconds. The phones we've been using at work have clocked times even slower than that.

People may flee to Verizon for a while, but once they discover that any PTT solution running over the internet will not have consistent speeds (nor can it), they WILL be back. VOIP PTT requires t...

Anyone with a brain knows Nextel is better, but that doesn't really matter, does it?
