Someone here yesterday posted a comment about Sprint having stricter credit requirements and this person said that they have even turned some people away I guess based on their credit??? Now I use to be a call center rep for a wireless carrier and the only reason someone was denied service is because they were under the age of 18 or they had an old account with a balance. ๐

HAHAHAHA They just want to get rid of the deadbeats. Do you even know how much of a deposit you would have to pay to get in ATT or Verizon!!!???? They are still even more strict than Sprint! Sprint's just stop being so nice about who it lets in now.

Well VZWs deposit aren't as high as they use to be. Their deposits use to range from $200-$1000. Now its $125-$400. Att deposits are from $200-$800 I think. Lol! That is ridiculous. If anyone has to pay a deposit it shouldn't go over $400/line.

That's actually incorrect. One of my co-workers went into Verizon(remember bad credit), and wanted her to pay 500 per line. That's outrageous. She went to AT&T they wanted 100 dollars per line, so she has AT&T. I myself have AT&T, and had to pay the 100 dollar deposit.

๐ฒ ...are you serious? That is crazy. I currently have Helio which was recently taken over by Virgin Mobile... ๐คจ . N e way I have the Ocean and I do love the All-In plans. I think I will hold on to my Ocean til my contract is up. Its a really awesome phone and no other carrier has a phone like it. The Helio UI is awesome. I can't decide between VZW Att or Sprint. They all have great coverage in my area. My parents and my sis have VZW and one of my good friends has At&t. I know a lot of people with Sprint. I dunno...I will decide when my contract is almost up.

VZW is really expensive, I've had Sprint, VZW, U.S. Cellular, and now AT&T, and VZW was the most expensive, they say you pay for "better quality service" but in reality its not that much better. So far Sprint and AT&T have been my favorite services, Sprint is the cheaper of the two, but luckily I can afford to spend that few extra dollars with AT&T, I don't know anyone's situation so honestly Idk, but I know Sprint is the cheaper of the two.

Oh ok. I had VZW in 2003 but I didn't have to pay a deposit. In the area I lived in at the time VZW service was crap so I switched to Sprint. When I moved I switched to TMO and now I have Helio...I wanted the Ocean. ๐

Is Helio any good? They just opened up a Helio store in our local mall, and I was considering switching to them.

BEWARE Helio, their customer service is horrible!! They never memo the account, they charge $250 for phones within the 30 day window because of defects, I paid a ETF to get out of them, the only company that I've done so, because they were jack a$$es.
Their network is Sprint's network, but with less roaming agreements and different phones. I use to work for them, then after I had my problems I sold people to a different carrier.

Drake what are you talking about? I wasn't charged $250 for my phone. I got a great deal and I haven't had any probs with customer service. Its just unfortunate that they couldn't make it on their own.

I had bought the drift, and Buddy Beacon didn't work along with something else so I had a replacement sent back to me which didn't work either, so I recieved a third one. I sent each one back with the included RMA. For three months they charged me $250 for a phone that I had sent back to them, each time calling cust care and giving them the tracking number, and each time they said they credited me the $, and next bill showed the charge, no credits and when I called in there were no memos. I contacted the BBB and complained, and I never complain.
