I need some input

I've got the itch to get another phone again.

Right now i have the Mogul and it's been having issues. I have to keep resetting it because it will freeze up or just get really laggy. I do know that is an issue that most, if not all, windows phones have a problem with. At least in my own experience. Anyway, it's getting old and I'm thinking of upgrading.

The instinct is really growing on me. I'm starting to really like it. But, the treo 800w is coming out and there's always the touch that i can go to. Not really interested in Palm or Blackberry. I've had them before and I'd rather have the windows mobile or something new to try.

I do know how to use a phone properly, I'm a tech at a repair store. I just have this bad ha...

Just hold on a few weeks for WM6.1 to be released for the mogul, the 800wx will come stock with it. Then try it.

thatguy_overthere, you may have answered you own question. You'd rather have Windows OS or something new. The Treo 800wx is going to be new, with a new Windows OS 6.1, EvDo r.A, with WiFi.

You may want to weigh your features, and pick what's most important to you.

The Samsung Instinct, is a great phone, but the phone is a non-PDA handset that's catered for entertainment. Instinct still lacks the "full" HTML browsing, unable to open attachments, still lacks SSL, and Opera. All of this can be change if Sprint finds, or decides to find a way to enable these features.

The Treo 800wx, runs Windows Mobile 6.1, opens attachments, has WiFI, can be entertaining and be used for business.

What's more inportant to you?

Yean, the Mogul will be able to do all of that as well without the purchase of new equipment when the update comes out in two weeks (tentatively).

If it is worth the cost to you to buy the 800wx, the main difference will be the size and form factor between the two devices.

Thanks drake. I think thatguy_overthere just wants another device. From his previous post, he seems to be a phone junkie. 😉

Unfortunately, you're right. I am a bit of a phone junkie. (my bank account really hates it) 🤭

What sucks is that even with the WM6.1 update, the mogul will still be, in my opinion, underpowered. It only has 64 megs of ram. I'm really liking the specs for the new HTC phones, especially the pro. I think i saw that it's going to have over 200 megs of ram. That's going to be nice.

I've really shorted my list of potential phones that i want since i want windows. Oh well. I'll probably just put up with daily battery pulls for a couple more weeks and see what the 800w is going to be like. It'll probably be expensive too.

I'm sure you'll make your decision soon, and if you're not happy with that choice, you have thirty days to decide what's best for you. Good luck.
