we have 94 billion in assets, i dont think a purchase like that could go through, sprint would have to break it up into smaller divisions before someone could purchase us dont you think?

I think the idea is to get together with equity groups. They'd provide the money and then the company (SK Telecom comes to mind) would take care of managing.

Me too, actually. I hadn't thought of that. They are mysteriously after air space in the MHz spectrum up for auction.

VERY VERY interesting thought.

they want to build a network they have said what they want to do with it. It has nothing to do with voice. They will not touch sprint. At least I don't think so. And what happened to alltel? Exactly what he said should happen with sprint happened to alltel. Are you saying its a bad thing?

I don't think anyone would be interested in purchasing "spint".

Sprint, on the other hand, could be sold. I doubt it will, but I hear the big wigs at Alltel have enough money to do so.

But all the carriers are placing spending money on the MHz auction, so I doubt anyone will be interested in purchasing the company today.

I bet General Custer said the same thing as he turned around the bend with his troops. "It is only a bunch of Indians on the other side".

Okay, Sprint just hired a new CEO and is doing something to save the company 800 million a year. Do you seriously think that a company would get a new CEO, fire a bunch of people, then sell shop?
The way it goes is, sell shop, THEN fire a bunch of people!

RIGHT?? 😉

Well you are after all talking about Sprint, they do everything backwards, like having a great phone first then waiting for other companies to get something similiar and for them to advertise it, then we advertise after they do. I cant even count how many times this has happened.

or how about, building up their data first while many cities have poor reception, I mean after all people want data before making calls right ?

"kinda like loving a handicap kid"

so if you had a handicapped kid you would love your "normal" kids more than the disabled one?
