Treo 755p -- GPS -- Sprint Navigation

Wireless.O.G.

I had a customer come in with a Treo 755p that was running Sprint Navigation. He said a friend set it up for him and that he is on the Ultimate Package. Does anyone have details on how to do this?

I too have the 755p and the Ultimate package and was considering the RIM BB Pearl for the GPS but I have read that it does not do MMS, if anyone has additional information on that feature on the pearl that would be helpful also.

Thanks in advance!

The 755 comes with google maps, not GPS. GPS aplications can only be ran with an external GPS reciever (which I have no idea where to get one ordered in from)
The 755's built in GPS can only be used for device positioning to have the system find it and allow for better signal and data transfer.

You can actually order the bluetooth GPS received for smart phones directly from TeleNav (www.telenav.com). Last I checked they were $99.

Yeah thats not bad to be honest $59.99? 🤤

Google Maps GPS BETA isnt even 100% accurate, its A-GPS i believe, which roams off the towers. So its accurate to within 5,000 yards. But hey thanks for the info Snang! 😉
