AT&T(Cingular) looking to switch

Hey there all! i have been with cingular now at&t for almost 3 years now thats cause my contract is finally over!! i saw sprints voice and data plan and its way cheaper than cingular. i was wondering about quality of sprint. please help! i live in the city, dallas, texas. cingular service was alright, but i hear lots of static, my phone cuts in and out, and i get a lot, and i mean ALOT of drop calls. there ad and commerials say fewest dropped calls but i get a lot of drop calls!!!! my coverage is good, just that i experience those kinds of problems. Has anyone been with cingular??? i would like to know your opinions too. and how;s sprint???

hello clown, well i have been with sprint for about 5 years now, and i have really clear calls, seriously no static whats so ever and non of that buzzing noise either. you would really like sprint, i did thats why im with them for lol. and i love there data too, really fast, thats if your into the data thing. they also have good coverage, i was traveling from oklahoma all the way to nebraksa and i always had signal. you should check them out and try them out, you have 30 days. and to answer the other question, i was with cingular for 2 years( cause i was locked in a contract) and yes, i had a lot of dropped calls and experience the same thing you are too, static, buzzing noises, and calls cutting in and out. they had cool phones, but it suck...

Sprint should work great in the Dallas, Ft. Worth area. I have been all over Texas and Sprint has work great.

I'm not sure if your familiar with GSM and CDMA networks. at&t (Cingular) is GSM, which should explain your static calls, and slow data. Sprint is CDMA. Therefore you should experience the crystal clear(er) calls and faster Ev-DO data speeds that CDMA has to offer in your area.

Yes, Sprint does offer GREAT plans and advise you to check out sprint.com/sero, for better plans.

Get a temporary number, and try Sprint out for 30 days. If you decide to keep Sprint, port your number over from at&t.

I'm more than sure you'll be pleased with Sprint's service.

hey thanks for the info yean,
but i wanna know the cdma doesnt have sim cards right?? i really like the sim feature because i can save my numbers on there, but its not a must have. well im kind of familiar with the gsm and cdma, lots of people tell me that there going to phase out cdma and every phone company is going to gsm is that true?? if thats the case then i might as well stay with at%t lol. but you know..its not the first time this happen, when it was cingular it was okay..i had static and faded calls in and out, but ever since they change to at%t it got worse!!! and i didnt mind it, but its getting on my nerves. most of every call fades in and out, i cant hear the person and the other person cant hear me, lots of static!! and my ca...
