Whose with me...? good bye nextel hello Sprint-Alltel
...
why not sprint-nexalltel
...
HA! I might make the logo tonight when i get home.
...
iDEN sucks the royal black cow pie! I'm so glad my company is dropping the Nextel name and hopefully will completely phase out the iDEN only devices shortly while moving the iDEN customer base to PowerSource handsets.

sprint needs help this wimax willl be pricey..i say the more the merrier
...
Yea, and say goodbye to hundreds and thousands if not millions of customers. Guess you forgot that when Nextel was "Nextel" and not Sprint they had the highest retention in the business. Nextel customers are loyal and you can bet many will leave. I can tell you as a business user many of my business associates have already switched to other carriers because since the Sprint merger everything about the service sucks including the billing and customer service.
...
HAHAHA, thats pretty funny.
Another fool who thinks that something changed when the old fogeys started passing cash accross an oak table.
Your customer service did not change at all. We are still seperately operating companies, and will continue to be (with the exception of the Unified Billing System) until iDen is phased out.
"Why?" you ask? Well honestly, if you were to look at things such as network provisioning, the Sprint network is literally dozens of times more complicated. This makes it ridiculous to expect nextel people to be properly trained on CDMA, while the Sprint side could literally be taught iDen provisioning in a few hours. Will that happen? Nope. Too simple. It would make too much sense for Sprint to do that. WELC...

I have been w/Nextel for several years now and can say that the service from reps and the phones is not the same anymore. I am not going to blame it all on the merger, but I'm smart to know that the merger had something to do with it. I know once my contract is up, I'll move on
...
to where..? what the next place for nextel lovers to go...? i always wondered that...i know the usual place for sprint lovers is verizon...
...
I was w/Cingular before. I don't know for sure though. I am even tempted at paying the termination fee to get out of the contract early.
...
Ok, I can't let this go.
Please stop implying that the merger had something to do with your CS.
Perhaps you just have crappy luck now with reps, or perhaps its all in your head, but the same people are taking the Nextel CS calls. Sprint DID NOT take that over. They havent touched it. They don't want to touch it.
Honestly, being the type of company that Sprint is, I get the feeling that they think of Nextel as their idiot cousin that they have to take care of now. Yes, they had great retention and CS, but technologically, they are a nightmare. I only wish they realized it before they made the purchase. Things would have been MUCH smoother with a buyout of say, Alltel.
...
You are aloud to have your opinion. I am moving on. To where? Why does it matter?Everyone likes what they like for a reason, those of us that were happy with nextel have our reasons and it really makes no difference. You or anyone else will have a hard time changing that. I believe there will be millions that will leave the "new" Sprint.
...
i'd be pissed! i love my alltel service. i woud NOT want to be combined with sprint!
...
Alltel... they sell cell phones.... haha
Its Sprint, Verizon, or ATT.. anyone else ..... who cares
