The person you spoke to in retentions has no clue in the release of sprint phones...they werre talking about the mogul...and the touch is GSM so dont drool over it...the only persons aware of sprint phone releases would be the marketing team...hell reps have no clue until the phone shows up on the website.

Brighthand is reporting that a CDMA version of the HTC Touch will be coming to Sprint and Verizon soon with some enhancements. The Touch is the recently announced Windows Mobile phone running on the GSM network that has the cool touch interface for interaction by finger. The new version of the Touch will be called the HTC Vogue and will rock on the EVDO Rev. A network for true 3G speeds. The Vogue will also include integrated GPS for navigation usage and will double the ROM capacity of the Touch to 128 MB. No word if the US carriers will pick up the Vogue when it's available later this year.

Don't know if you all know about this, but Sprint had a chance to have the Iphone before Cingular did, cause Apple approached them first. Sprint's "Response" to the Iphone was the Upstage, hence the name. I got this info from my roommate who works on Sprint campus; He & the rest of the team he was on were on a conference call with the president of Sprint, & that was one of the questions that was asked. Really pretty funny, if you ask me, just thought I'd share that.
