hello all-
I'm new here, so I apologize ahead of time if this has been posted b4. The phones I'm interested in aren't offered by Alltel and how do I know if they are compatible?
I've looked into the following:
Motorola E1000, Nokia 6600, Siemens SL65, Samsung SHG-E800 and Samsung P777.

Any help is much appreciated-

Those phones are for GSM carriers only. (Cingular, or T-Mobile) You have Alltel which is a CDMA carrier (Verizon, Sprint) So none of those phones would work.

Hope that helps

thanks for that info Aarynk-
Now, how do I go about finding phones that are cdma but other than the ones offered through Alltel?? Could I actually buy a phone at a Verizon or Sprint retail and have Alltel activate it? or is there possibly a site with carriers and a list of their phones by gsm or cdma?
thx

you could use a verizon phone but not sprint. And if you have some good money, check this site out for unlocked CDMA phones that are awesome. I must warn you, the prices are high but the phones are the best I have seen so far.
