Not sure if the BB has a camera, i can't remember. But keep in mind the BB would require a data plan. While glimmer would not. Obviously touch screen versus none one. Depends on what you use your phone for.

well alltel doesn't actually carry the 8310(curve) we carry the 8130 pearl though. don't know if that s what you meant or not. However if you did mean the pearl, then I would say this. The pearl has been a very hit or miss phone for us. Kind of a totally love it or totally hate it kind of thing. It is the best media friendly BB to date, however if your not going to be needing it for email, calender, or all the other smart phone features, I would save the money on the plan and just go with the glimmer. Great functionality media wise, great feel, and great construction. thats my 2 cents

The Glimmer is... meh. I've had the chance to use it for the last week and it doesn't really impress me. The screen is okay, and the Goldfish screen saver is mildly amusing, otherwise the phone just doesn't really impress me. The big turn off for me is not having the QWERTY keyboard. That would have been excellent. Clinched the deal on that phone. It might be right for you, however. The Blackberry Pearl is an okay device as well. Nothing great about it.

Im a big BB user. I currently have the W.E. If never used a BB be carful, there is a "learning" curve to the phone, but once learned its an amazing phone. You can do so much with these phones. However it will cost more and not only in the upfront costs. your monthly bill will have to be shifted and you'll prob. end up paying a little more. -But if your a big phone person those plans are great, they include the unlimited data (internet, email, ect.) unlimited texting, and 7pm nights. (dont forget my circle!)
