verizon phone
Hi I was told that if i bought a verizon phone it would not work because they have a special code is this true.

I purchased a Verizon phone from Ebay and had it activated on Alltel.
The only problem I had was when I went out of my home area the Verizon phone went to a solid triangle.
The phone was still able to send & receive calls.
Received my bill, was not charged for roaming.
But it is always in the back of your mind when you see the solid triangle.
Did *22801 always went to Alltel. 611 alwayays went to Alltel. #668 worked

yes it will work on alltel's network but you cna only have a national plan if you want to do this. If you use it when you travel across the US then you would might run into a billing situation with the phone using towers its not supposed to.

If you have the Alltel PRL in the phone, it should work fine (unles it's a samsung). I have a LG VX6000 I use on Alltel with no problems. I have even traveled with it and the roam indicators work fine.

The phone is Nokia 6015i and I do have Alltel's National Freedom Plan.
