Has AT&T given up on BlackBerry?

It sure seems like it. My Bold 9000 is on life support at this moment, and I doubt it will make it to iPhone 5 day. Will AT&T get the 9780 or Torch 2 anytime soon?

Issues after Captivate 2.2 update

Since the update I will commonly have my first attempt to send a basic sms fail. I will immediately resend it and the message will send without a problem. It's not a major issue, just a minor inconvenience. I was just curious if anybody else was having the same issue.

AT&T #1 again

According to Q4 reports, AT&T now has 95.5 million customers and Verizon at close 2nd with 94 million customers. I'm sure we all know this may change once the iPhone settles in. It'll be an interesting battle between the two. This should prove that AT&T's "problems" aren't as bad as the over-hyped media is. No carrier is perfect everywhere, including Verizon.

Another iPhone 3GS issue...

Today, I updated my phone with the new 4.3 firmware and all of my music and pics were deleted. I know this happened with the 4.2 update and there was a fix for it. I tried that fix for this new update and it didn't work. Anyone know of a fix for this yet?

iPhone 3GS issue

Here lately, I've noticed my phone vibrating in my pocket. So, thinking I'm getting a text or call, I take it out of my pocket to check. No messages or calls. Then, I noticed that I can barely touch the vibrate button on the side and the vibration goes on and off repeatedly, even while it's still in the down position (turned off). Is the button damaged, or is there something else I can do to fix it? Anyone else ever have this issue?

BB Data Plan vs Android

So on TMO a Blackberry data plan isn't compatible with any other smartphone in their line up, IE SIM's aren't completely swappable. And I know it's cause RIM routes all data through them.
But what about ATT, is it same thing? You have to call every time you swap between a Blackberry and Android? And they'll provision your data plan as such.

HTC Inspire vs. Motorola Atrix: AT&T's current Android 2.2 4G choices - which is preferred?

I'm shopping for Android 2.2 4G phones with AT&T. As of today, the 2 options are HTC Inspire and Motorola Atrix.

Is one clearly better than the other? or does it depend on your usage and preferences?

I've read both of Eric's reviews (thank you Eric for excellent and thorough reviews).

Further opinions and experiences would be appreciated. I've got another week before I need to make a choice.

or is AT&T adding an even better Android 4G phone soon, that I should wait for?

thanks.

Dell Streak and AT&T

Talked to a director at Dell. Android 2.2 is pretty much at the mercy of AT&T. Check AT&T records of rolling out updates to Android devices. It looks like AT&T has sold their souls to the devil/Apple. Android phones get very little marketing campaign. I wonder what AT&T will be like post the iPhone/Apple.

Also, Dell asked for it by demanding that they own Dell Streak's marketing and sales. AT&T's unfortunate response is the denial of the existence of Dell Streak. I have asked a half dozen AT&T sales reps/scum of earth about Dell Streak, they swore that they never heard of it. WOW, a blatant lie of course!! No surprise AT&T Sales Training 101.

Unplugging the old network?

Recd a letter and later a text message saying my phone and rate plan will be terminated on May 15, 2011 due to their network upgrades. Called their toll-free number they said the "old network" is be turned off. Signed up with AT&T wireless back in 2003 and haven't changed either the phone or the rate plan. My phone(Nokia 6200) is a GSM and I'm unsure why it won't work (their claim) after 5/15/11. I'm still a hold out for the dumb phones that just makes calls.
Does anyone know what's going on and why won't my phone under a different rate plan?

we need to get our heads out of our A$$

I am so sick of at&t playing of verizon getting the Iphone like its nothing. My sales goals for the month of January were ridiculous, I doubt feb will be any better. We are being to whatever about this. the next two quarters are going to be painful. I can talk about how Verizons network is on average 32% slower, and they cant do voice and data at the same time till im blue in the face, but when it comes down to it they offer unlimited data, we dont, plus people are going to switch just cause they think the grass is greener. We need to become more aggressive with pricing on our MIFI and aircards...sorry im just ventin...anyone else feel as I do.

4G...Any time ATT.

So when is ATT firing up their (so called) 4G? ๐Ÿ˜•
I can get 5 Mbps download pretty much everywhere but home and work. Where it drops down to 1.5 Mbps. So I'm figuring if my speed drops this low now, chances are I won't be in a good 4G coverage area when ATT officially fires it up.
I'm wondering because having recently used a HTC G2, TMO's coverage maybe less but man it's FAST! and it's strong, no drops in speed at home or work. And now with their free phone offer...well. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

HTC inspire and 4G.

So I have a new Inspire 4G. I am only getting speeds of 1.47Mbps download and 0.14 Mbps upload. My girls iPhone4 is faster then this. is it locked within the firmware? If I root it, will it be faster? Maybe the HSPA+ is not really there? If I go to About phone> Netwrok> Mobile Service Type, it shows HSPDA. Should it show HSPA+? Do I have a lemon phone and need to exchange? Thnaks,
