5 REASONS TO AVOID CINGULAR
2) Extremely poor customer service involving under-trained reps who know little about your plan, your phone, or your history, and don't much care.
3) Poor network quality -dropped calls, "network busy" and "message failed" will quickly become part of your life if you make the mistake of choosing Cingular as your wireless carrier. You may, as have I, miss a few days worth of voicemail, not be able to send or receive text messages, not be able to send mmms, or be locked out of your account completely despite being paid in full.
4) Costly and woefully inaccurate information (411) service. Do you know that every time you call 411 and receive the wrong number, you must call 611 and wait on hold until ...

There's nothing outdated about HSDPA
Don't bother with him sangyup81. It's not worth it!
Cingular has always been late when it comes to these types of things while Sprint and Verizon are the leaders in doing new technologies, such as 3g launching.
Well no one knows how HSDPA will truly act when actually on networks but everyone knows how REV A will act and because of that, I am not quite sure that I agree with your premise because it is too early to tell at this stage. based on tests/trials in labs I would say you are 100 percent correct, but out in the real world we have to see first then make our opin...

alright littlefuzzywuzzyf*g. 😎
I understand that you're not happy with Cingular. You would not be happy with any carrier, as none are perfect. Perhaps you should try China, where you like the carrier whether you like it or not!!! 🙂

Are you real? In China they have several carriers to choose from.

If you don't know already you should that what may make sense to somebody in person often does not translate well to the written media.

Evidently you do not.
The Nokia 6682 situation was a joint problem between Nokia and Cingular.
Screaming at Customer Service reps at 3:00 am will not get your problem solved.
You don't own a landline phone? then use your friend's phone or your work phone or have them call you at a landline location.
Trying calling during the day, it might mean that you have to be awake, but if you need a problem fixed, then sometimes it is a price to pay. Try waiting around for the cable repair people to show up sometime between 8 am and 12 noon, then they show up at 12:30 right after you leave to go to work.

2) I am not saying there are not customer service reps that suck. BUT YOU CAN'T SPELL
3)Every Carrier has those issues in certain areas.
4) Wait time 6 minutes oh please. Inaccurate information on 411 happens on every carrier. And the price is the same on almost every carrier.
5)Just cancel please just port your number
Rather, I posted because I believe Cingular does a poor job of providing quality phones and service to its customers. I have been with Verizon and the old ATT and found network reliability and customer service to be superior at those companies. In my year or so with Cingular, I have been frozen out of my voicemail twice, each time for two or more days and I have experienced call drops, error messages, and poor connection quality with increasing frequency. I have also experienced incompetent and inflexible customer service from the majority of reps. I have dealt with at Cingular.
I'm glad Cingular is rolli...

2. well yea that is true with many companies out there
3. this is also the same with many companies out there in some markets
4. well 411 is horrible for the other companies as well
5. sales personnel don’t really care about the people in general but they care more about the commission.
if u dont like cingular than top your crying and switch.
And 3G will have handsets very soon. Just doesnt make sense to do it when HSDPA phones are just now being announced. Also, you cant blame cingular if 850Mhz phones are just now coming out
