The phone WORKED. A great reason to drop it; just like the Nokia 6010; if it works stop stocking it.

Where are you seeing it was discontinued?

It may be dropped from certain markets but the handset is not discontinued. For instance, we still carry it here in Texas.

It's still on Cingular website. I don't see why it would be discounted so quickly, teenage girls love this phone.

It's still in the Dallas Market too. This phone isn't discontinued nor is it listed as a phase out model. We're still ordering them every week.

If any phone were proclamed the "flaming queen of the cellular world" it would be the 3220. I doubt that any sales rep for cingular is really going to miss it, seeing as the e317 does everything the 3220 did, is a flip and costs $10 less anfter the rebate. However, San Francisco sales may drop a bit.

Anxio....don't ya think that internal information is just a tiny bit more accurate than third party info? I mean props to Rich and all, but there's no way that he could know market by market what's being carried and what's not. It's still active in my market as well.

Not to say that it won't soon be discontinued, but not yet.

it has not been discontinued in my markets. Philadelphia, North Jersey and New York. I don't know where everyone got this info.

And for your information, that e317 had so many problems with it, i'd say that it was the worst samsung phone in our line up.
You cannot beat the performance of a nokia phone by any other manufacturer.

According to PhoneScoop, it isn't discontinued. Was this changed, or were people looking at the wrong page?

It's still available on the Cingular website for Sacramento (95831), and was in a 3rd party store that I visited yesterday.
