I've had every major carrier for my cell phone service, but mainly I had Sprint for about 9 years. I was so excited when the Blackberry Tour was announced and it's less than 8 days away from being here. Well, Sprint pissed me off yesterday and I couldn't take it anymore. After 9 long years, I told them and their non speaking english rude customer service idiots to shove it and I left. Even paid the $200 ETF to leave! Went to ATT, got me a BB Curve 8900 (although I really wanted the Bold) and now I'm happy. Only thing I don't understand is why ATT is soooo expensive on their phone prices. I paid $249 up front for the new curve 8900. I would have had to pay $399 for the new Bold, but I just couldn't afford that. Maybe later on down th...

I hope your experience with AT&T is better. We have a larger coverage area than Sprint, and the largest GSM native network in the country.
I've had AT&T for a few years now and they are decent. I used to be a smartphone fan, but after going through so many models and experiencing the same troubles with dropped calls and poor battery life, I went back to my Nokia 2610. Laugh if you want, but that cheap phone gets signal unlike any other phone and I can go for days on a single charge.
I hope you enjoy your experience with us!

ITs all about cost my friend. I Agree that the bold is overpriced. When they lowered it down $100 for the last few weeks our sales boomed. It should stay at $199 after rebate in my eyes. (as long as they keep our cost $100 less)
Why do you think the curve 8900 is expensive at $149 after rebate? Its a fantastic phone at that price.
You are always welcome to shop around at different at&t vendors and ask for a deal.

I went into a corporate store and the price of the Bold was $399 up front and a $100 MIR. I've looked on Ebay and Craigs List and they're priced more than that, crazy! I really really want one, but I'm very satisfied with my new Curve 8900. It looks good and the screen is awesome! Best Buy is offering the Bold for less because they don't do MIR...theirs are instant rebates. But, I had to go to a corporate store because a district manager helped me get approved. (Past issues with ATT where I had signed for a family member) Regardless, I'm happy and overjoyed. I just hate the case I bought to put on it. It's a hard plastic case and when it's on, it makes it look like the original curve I've had for years, and I want everyone to see my...

Newer phones will be expensive on craigslist/ebay because they don't require contracts, and the retail cost of that bold is more than 399.
I'm actually curious to see what people are selling the 3gs/Tours for in a month or so.

Sorry about your luck. I know Sprint leaves a lot to be desired but ATT sucks too depending on where you live and how much you travel.
A buddy of mine in Tucson switched from Verizon to ATT just to get the iPhone. I now notice a lot of garbled and dropped calls when I talk with him on a daily basis. Hope you have better luck.

It must really depend on where you live. My sister lives in what we call a cell phone graveyard. You can't even roam in her house. But, I have a full signal with ATT and the only other carrier that works in her house is Nextel. And...well...we all know Nextels technology sucks as far as multimedia goes. I went in Best Buy tonight and they had the Bold on sale for $199. I wanted to vomit...I think I may have a little in my mouth. I really want that dang Bold.

I've been with Cingular/ATT for over 7yrs and I'm happy. Only wirelless carrier I've ever been with.
I could've sworn the BB Bold is like $200.
Anyway, I use an unlocked/unbranded Nokia N95-3. Bought mine on Amazon for $360. Not a bad price for a phone like the N95.
