Cingular doesn't offer the Next Generation Charter Plan because it's a really good deal and it wouldn't make sense to offer something that worked for someone else to retain a customer base. Don't forget though, Cingular has load-balancing 64K sim cards, Rollover Minutes, and new equipment. Not that any of that matters if you have to pay 250.00 a month in overage charges because you're not used to "minute watching" but hey, that's what they're offering.

Of course if you are lucky enough to be one of AT&T's NC customers you can switch to SunCom unlimited for $69...with all taxes and fees included and add your children for $20/mo...total of 5 phones.

I'd evaluate usage and determine how many minutes you're going to need on a plan. I've had customers on the unlimited charter plans who only used like 200 minutes a month. Might be a good deal to switch to a lower cost plan.

The original unlimited promotions ALL expired nearly TWO years ago. Those customers that remain on the plan are on it as a courtesy for being a "charter" customer. The company that gave the unlimited promotion no longer is in business and the "unlimited" portion can be removed at any time Cingular wants to for any reason. Expect to see this happen sometime within the next year or two.

You sound so happy to be saying it. 🙂 It is kind of fun to tell the truth and hear jaws drop.
"What that plan is never being removed... I'm sure a special exception will be made for me. I'm a very important customer. I know Cingular will allow that plan to be transfered into theri systems."

And you just smile...
