Or give error messages that tell them that their phone will self-destruct after the call is completed?

I still think we need to install a small piece of C4 in all handsets. That way, when someone calls in with a stupid little problem, and keeps yelling at you when you know it is in fact them that is compounding the issue... all you have to do is say "sir, if you call us on that phone, we can solve your issue. Just tell the representative to push the red button"

If you get a customer that pisses you off during the shift just write that number down and for every other call put call forwarding to that number for ever customer that calls in after him, he will flip because he will get a crap load of calls from people he doesn't know.

No wonder I get so many customers who has call forwarding set to numbers they don't know. 😡
