seriously what is going on here? has anyone else gotten that retarded "Quality" training when we are getting berraded ( sp) for transfers? and short calls? im sorry its not my fault that some spanish guy is SO DUMB he cannot press the number 3. it should hardly count against my workmanship b/c i have to transfer stupid spanish guy. i work in digital and during this training we were told that all the dumb cust who cannot function through the IVR are routed to us. so therefore we have to pick up the slack of a S*itty automated system. so now b/c cingular cannot use a "press 1 for att, press 2 for cingular" IVR, MY stats go down. thanks that makes sence. Then also when we get gsm cust we are supposed to ask them if there is anything i can help ...

OK Hun I completely agree about the short call and transfer rate crap that they are throwing on us right now, but is that really a reason to bash Americans? I mean come on, the fact that we are American has nothing to do with it because i've seen stupid people from all different countries...it's the same worldwide. This is a Cingular thing and thats all there is to it.

probley people in general are stupid. hardly anyone i talk to takes the time to LISTEN to what i say before they start yelling about something i just explained to them. i hate how they think we are responsible for everything. i hate they call us from the most random places, like a drive thru! A DRIVE THRU, this lady is all ordering burger king while yelling at me because her voicemail doesn't work. OMG. i had this guy call in who must have been at a rave b/c i couldnt hear anything and he ends up yellin at me cuz i can't hear him. ARGH. i hate hate hate hate hate this.

I had a great one once. This dealer calls in and he apparently has a booth set up at a concert right beside the speakers. Well it was closing time and I was the last one on a call, this guy couldn't hear me I couldn't hear him so we were both yelling because he wouldn't just get off the phone. My TL decided he would be funny and put my call live on speakerphone at his desk so that all the TL's and anyone left in the building could hear me screaming to this guy. I could have killed both of them, the dealer and my TL. 😕

why do these people think its okay to call us at these bizarre times? its too strange. i once had a guy call me while he was at work as a cashier!. he was ringing things through and talking to his customers in spanish while talking to me in english. it was the biggest mess i have ever been in. could you imagine being at this guys till? good cust serivce, he should work for cingular

They don't... Our reps get dinged on repeat calls period. If that customer hit your queue and ends up calling back... for whatever reason... it goes against you.
You know how transfer are 12% and under? Repeat calls are like 9% and under... It's horrible, you have no control over repeat calls. None.

What truly makes someone dumb though? The fact that they have no knowledge in the field we previously had little knowledge in BEFORE we started training? Before working here reps where probably considered dumb as well.
Why? Think about this, intelligence could be based on a few facts (this is what I am assuming): how much knowledge you have, how much you can retain and use later on and sometimes it can even factor in common sense.
Customers don't know the systems, some hardly know how to use a phone. The only thing dumb about them is the fact that they don't look this info up in the user manuals or ask a question that has an obvious answer they know.
I agree that some people out there were probably dropped on the head too many time...

Personally, I think that how a person reacts to new information and situations is also part of what can make a person dumb. We have a number of customers who may not be dumb, but who are perhaps ignorant. in some cases, these ignorant people show they are intelligent and understand what we are trying to tell them. In some cases, they refuse to understand anything or give you a chance to educate them. I have more than enough customers who prefer to remain ignorant and insist the world works the way they want it to work.
sometimes, also, we get customers who also may not be dumb, but are simply unprepared, or lacked foresight. this applies in some cases to people who rely completely on their wireless phone and nothing else for everything, ...

I just got 3 calls in a row, all looking for the spanish dept. Now, since I came into work late, and my first 2 hours were only 3 calls (some mother's children, story for another day), then I would guess that my total calls for today will be 20-30. Ok, fine, but now, at least 10% of my calls have been transfers, just because these three munkeys can't press the right button!
