I notice that all of the other services came out with newer phones but not attw, the thing is I have been waiting for the v551 to come out and when it did only cingular carried it and I waited another month to see if cingular and ATT will carry the same phones when they joined forces. I figgured that the phones within ATTW are okay but their nothing compared to the newer ones that the other services may carry. so my question is will att come out with new phones? i'm getting kinda bored with the phone I have now

Honey ,there is no ATT Wireless, they went out of businesson nov 15,2004, they were bought out for 41 billion in cash, their former customers, you included if you are or were one, are now part of the cingular family, if you want to get a new phone will nee to migrate to a current cingular plan and cingular branded phone.

Actually, customers can still get attws phones from local stores that have them and can still order them through customer care (866-293-4634).

Look, Cingular is still looking to SELL the remaining stock of attws phones... not just throw them in the dumper. Of course, they probably won't be getting new models in for attws plans, etc but yeah. At present, there are still new ATTWS phones available for purchase.

Att will NOT come out with any new phones basically because ATT is now Cingular, so anything new will come out through Cingular! If you want to get those new phones you WILL have to switch to a cingular plan.

Pretty much what we were discussing here is that former "att" customers CAN still get phones from the available "att" stock, but if they want the "new" stuff they will have to migrate to a cingular plan and get those phones.
