How is ATT GSM Service??
I am thinking of getting V600 with ATT. What GSM frequency ATT uses . Did anyone had any problems with this phone reagrding dropped calls, bluetooh.
Can I transfer files through this phone or no. Most of my calls will be made in the Northeast area.

I would strongly recomend against the v600. If your looking at something around that range go with the v505. Almost all the same stuff but so far haven't had any problems with it. V600 i've hear of people that get everything from no reception to the phone freezes up during a call.

The V600 uses up to 4 freq...Friend of mine has the V600 and LOVES the bluetooth

that's a first i have to tell you. I guess he's one of the lucky ones that got a good phone. The V600 i believe has been discontinued and replaced by the v505.

Since the merger with cingular will be completed soon, I am kind of leary of going to ATT
But Cingular doesn't offer a quad band phone with bluetooth and camera. Isn't most of the companies disable file transfer of bluetooth so whats the point of getting it.

nokia 6820 has blutooth and quadband and camera. so does the v505. and I know with attws they do not have disabled file transfer I have the 6820 and can do it

Sorry about the misinfo. 🤠I tried to help out by looking on the Equipment page on our intranet and it said we did not support it. My bad.

I went to ATT store and the rep said there is no way that the phon will be unlocked if I buy a phone from a retail store or Amazon.com
But I also talked to Cingular rep and he said the v400 is unlocked so is there a way to find out if the phones are unlocked .
Not sure what will happen to ATT plans , service after Cingulay or I am better off with Cingular ??

The quick answer is this....we have no idea what will happen when cingualr takes over. One would assume (and you know what happens when you assume) that when cingular takes over they would get everything from aws including the unlock codes. So cingular should be able to unlock the phones, because eventually youll need to have the sim cards unlocked

Cingular won't let you activate an ATTWS phone with any of the plans offered currently. But you can keep your old ATTWS plan.

With our roaming agreements with Cingular and other companies We have a larger footprint than Verizon on our GSM America National plan. Verizon has a large footprint if you include the analog network on there system.
