Amp'd has serious billing problems

I want to start by saying the worst part of this is that the Amp'd service is really good. Unlimited Nationwide Verizon Service for 115.00 per month can't beat.

Having said that, I have received two bills now that have included double billing and pages upon pages of calls, text messages and data transfers which I did not make. I have called Amp'd numerous times and it is impossible to get a supervisor on the line. I have tried their online chat which was equally frustrating.

Customer Service is unprofessional and rude, too the point of one rep who could not stop hic uping on the line while I was speaking to her.

I have been told that the text messages and calls could not have been made unless they came from my handset. However, ...

Anybody know?

I have a question. We are getting our son a ampd prepaid phone. We have searched their website and have not found anything on it, so, here it goes.

Does the ampd pay as you go have voice mail?

and if so, can you check your voicemail on a landline without being charged airtime?

Any info on how the voicemail works would be appreciated.

thank you

Amp'd UI (Motorola Phones)

What UI does Amp'd Mobile use for their Motorola phones??

Is it the standard Motorola UI or their own UI.

If it is their own UI, how does it stack up with the standard RAZR UI ???

Thanks

Amp"d Up!!!

😁 So far Amp'd has proven to be the best service provider I have ever had! Compared to Tmo, Sprint, Verizon and Cingular, of which I have had them all, Amp'd is the only provider to have given me all I need in one complete package. An unlimited amount of minutes with no gimmicks, an unlimited pix, text and video package as well as entertainment. You cannot beat it! Try it, you may like it lol

oh by the way...im using the moto e816

Razer IS HERE!!!

YEA BABY!!! THE RAZER IS HERE!!!! 😁 I saw that on the amp'd web sight that they now have the Razer. I already am in a contract with them so I know I have to buy the phone for full price, but exactly how much is that? When I tried to put a razer in the shopping cart I couldn't complete the order unless I "signed up" for service.

I'm really excited about the razer, I really want one. Does anyone else know what the price will be?

Are their data charges for pay as you go?

So do you have to pay $0.30 per mb to browse Amp'd live? Then what happens when you stream a video? Do you pay to stream it and then pay for the data charges as well?

OPPS I did it again!!1

I returned AMPD for the second time. Had it back in April and wasnt happy, so I cancelled and went back to US cell. Tried AMPD again in September and had challenges. So I cancelled and went to VERIZON wireless. Ampd may be good if you are wanting to view videos and the like, however I am a heavy user(about 8000 minutes per month) and need a phone that makes and receives calls well.

What really is the coverage area

According to the map online and at stores the phone only works in the blue areas and the grey areas are no service at all, not even roaming. Ampd cust serv claims anywhere in the country, not just the blue areas you will get service and no charge. which is true

Prepaid customers

looking at the article on the front page, im happy amp'd is starting to have hybrid prepaid plans using credit cards which means the prepay customers will get to enjoy the full benefits of a 3g network like the postpaid customers do., i think this will add a nice amount of customers

South Florida

Have had Amp'd for almost two weeks now. I have been very pleased with the coverage in South Florida. Have driven up to Orlando and no problems on the drive or in Orlando as well.

Did Anyone Else Get Two Memory Cards?

When I recieved my E816 from Amp'd (I bought it through their site) I found that they had included a memory card in the handset packaging AND in the shipping box. I'm guessing it was somekind of mistake, but did this happen with anyone else?

I Am Really Confused!!!

I really need a good explanation of the different data plans (Overdose, Overload, Amp'd TV, ect.), as I have no clue what comes with what, and I need to know because I was thinking about getting Amp'd. Here are a few basic questions I need answered:

1. Basic difference between Overload and Overdose.
2. Does Amp'd TV come with unlimited data transfers (if it is bought seperatly, without Overload or Overdose)?
3. What is the differences between the video channles and Amp'd TV?

If someone could answer this, it would be a tremendous help. Thanks.

Hollywood vs. Jet

Short and to the Point;

Jet slider function and user interface are the best part of this phone. However, the slider is not sprung and therefore is a little cumbersome to use. The keypad on the Jet is tiny. Also, if you are a professional the Jet comes with only three ringers and I would not use any of them in a professional setting and it is slim pickings on the AMP'D site to download as far as professional ringtones go.

The Hollywood gets better reception, has a sturdy feel to it, has longer battery time, bluetooth and a better camera. The charger cord is old style Motorola and you need to fiddle with it to make sure it is charging but it works well enough.

Both have great screens and are just as fast on the internet. The tech...

Cell phone repairs

I emailed Amp'd because I dont want to get into a contract with them and have no support if there is problems with the phone. They have not emailed me back. Does anyone know what amp'd does if your phone needs to be fixed for any reason? If you take out the extra insurance on a phone, if you have a cingular, verizon, t-mobile.. etc.. you can take the phone in to be fixed if something breaks on it. What does amp'd do?

Do you have to mail it back to amp'd or do they have a store that you can use.

Any stores?

I am considering going with amp'd but I have a serious question. What happens if you drop your phone or your phone needs to be serviced for something that isnt working correctly?

Does amp'd have a store that can service the phone or do you have to mail it in to the company, and if so how long does it take to get the phone back or a replacement?
