Need help on this Blackberry Pearl 8100
Ok, I had preformed a "wipe" as its called and got the phone back to original settings. I did the set up wizard and I still cant make or receive calls. It says "data connection refused". What do I need to make this thing work? Do I need wireless access on my computers? Do I need to call cell one and have them turn something on? Do I need a specific plan! I really need help. Id like to be able to use the phone for my hotmail email account and use the browser and make calls and do all the things it can do. Please someone help me get in the right direction.

You will need to have a Blackberry data plan added to your account in order for you to be able to use the data on the device for internet and email. When this is added, your service books will be installed OTA on your device after you power-cycle your device. Also, unless you pay for Windows Live/Hotmail plus service currently through Microsoft, you won't be able to integrate your email account to push on the Blackberry. That's something Microsoft for POP email. They don't offer that stuff for free like Gmail does. You can easily integrate Yahoo, Google, and AOL email accounts on it since RIM has agreements with those companies.
