Divested Customers
Greetings all! I hope everyone is excited about December 9th....I know I am.
Since the divested market for DCellOne here in Texas....is close to my locations, any word who those people will be sold off too?
Will it be another GSM carrier, or will it be Alltel who benefited form the old ATT Wireless divestures in 2005?

Well we now know that they are being sold to Verizon. Strange move, isn't it?

No, not really. They're basically trading spectrum. AT&T is picking up some VZW assets in Eastern NY. More of a trade to solidify the continuity of their coverage.

Texas is not included for Verizon Wireless. Divested parts of Kentucky will go to Verizon Wireless though. I forgot where else Verizon Wireless will get some Dobson divested assets. But as far as Dobson PCS spectrum; that was a trade, since at&t wasn't forced to divest any PCS spectrum, since most of Dobson's PCS licenses were only 10mhz. The only areas they were forced to divest were areas where Donson's cellular network overlapped with at&t's cellular network. Verizon knows some Unicel markets will have to be divested, an...

the customers that are remaining for the texas and olkahoma areas are being some to chinook wireless and for our kentucky markets (not 100% sure on the KY areas though) possibility that it is verizon.
