bad feeling

I have this "instinct" (no pun intended, really.) that the release of the Instinct will be dulled by the iPhone 2 this month. I hope not. We're not getting the Instinct till August but man o' man I'm worried about this one.

How bad IS sprint doing right now, out of curiosity? I think it's overhyped, but I'm not sure.

i do not think the iphone will have that much impact on the sales of instinct. Those who have wanted the iphone have already bought or will do so, the 3G version will have little affect on the steady sale of it. I don't see a huge sales jump just do to the fact, that's 3G.

Now the Instinct is fresh and I hear they will launch a massive ad campain for it, the sales should be good. They really got to nail it with marketing though, something sprint doesn't do to well at. They really got show how the Instinct kicks the iphone ass, hopefully they can. Spints reputation is still struggling, so new subs will still be difficult..but from what i hear sprint is making the necessary improvement with customer care.

well, with the Glyde on VZW being such a piece of crap, I have doubts about the instinct's performance. We shall see, only time will tell.

Well yeah it's the same manufacture, but quality of phones always very from model to model. The Glyde in noway can be compared to Sprint upcoming flagship Instinct phone.

i have never seen the glyde in person, but i hear the big downside is the touch screen...after playing around with the instinct that's not gonna be an issue, it's incredibly responsive and accurate.

I do not think that the Instinct will be as popular as Sprint hopes. It is a nice device with some neat features BUT it will sway very few iPhone users and potential iPhone 2 customers. Apple has a large list of 3rd party developers that will enhance the model 1 and 2 to a level that the Samsung just cannot compete at. Even from the commercial the only thing that I see the Instinct besting the iPhone 1 at is speed. In a few weeks that issue will be rectified. I think that the HTC Diamond will be a much more competent competitor because of the operating system which allows for 3rd party apps. Outside of that, I see the Instinct as a improved Glyde and I will be purchasing it to keep me occupied until the HTC Diamond is released later on...

based on sprint. the instinct is now to come out june 15 for consumers. with the way that sprint is to push advertisements for the instinct, it will be very well known. Sprint is to be spending about 100 million in just advertisement alone, then now they are started to push reps to send emails about the phone to customer who call in.
