How am I receiving text messages that appear to be from my home phone?
I have a crazy lesbo that stalks me and she has really outdone herself this time. She is sending text messages to my cell phone that have a callback number of my home phone (a landline) preceded by two zeroes (e.g., 00areacodenumber). How is she doing this? Is she doing it online somehow?
I know that I can send a numeric page to my cell from my home phone but this is different because when I do that the text message says "HOME" in the "from" field because I have my home phone number saved in my contacts. These "mysterious" text messages just have 00+the actual phone number in the "from" field. Weird and creepy. 👀

She changed the callback number on her phone's preferences, I've seen it on mine under some setting

Or she is sending the text messages from the web where you have an option of entering the callback number.
You can change your number to resolve the issue or call your carrier to block text messages from your home phone. I am sure they can also tell you the origination of the messages
Good luck

you cannot block txt messages from a certain number. i dont care which carrier you have, it cant be done. plus, if he blcoked them from his home phone, it wouldnt help in this case since they arent coming from his home phone.

Actually, with sprint you CAN block text messages from a specific phone number... All you do is go onto sprint.com log in go to my online tools go to text message then choose settings and preferences on the side and you can block certain phone numbers from texting you
