Truth or Fiction? Roaming in Midtown Manhattan?

DoubleHelix

I have a Blackberry 8830 with Sprint.

I notice that whenever I am in Midtown Manhattan, out in the street, my phone roams to the Verizon Wireless Network.
I called customer Service and she said that roaming in NY is normal.
Normal in New York City?

I asked her to update my roaming list and she said there was no way to do that unless I took it into a store. WTF?

Do you live or work in Manhattan?

Work there but live on Long Island - 50 miles away. If you look at the Sprint Map of New York City, it is all Green (meaning total coverage). When it Roams there, it is roaming onto the Verizon Network.

Try setting your device to receive a sprint-only signal in the roaming settings.
