Expert Mode

Does anyone have a clue what the expert mode setting in Voice Mail is for? My hunch that I just used with a customer was that it keeps you from bring able to press keypad buttons before the message finishes playing. Preventing silly people from accidently deleting their VM instead of FF or rewinding.

Expert Mode Shortens Prompts, such as..

1. Listen

2. Greeting

3. Personal Options

Instead of explaining what each item is, its clear, concise and to the point. Usually 1 or 2 words....

Sorry but you have to be an expert to do that.
We can't discuss company secrets here....

OK, log into your voice mail and after you enter your password at the prompts do the following:

Press 3 to change personal options then when she asks you "for expert mode press 3"...you want to press 3 again. She will say: Expert mode is currently turned OFF, to turn it on press 1."
You will want to press 1 here to enter expert mode.
After that you will be an expert.

Hope that helps.
