The only ways I know of to get out early without an ETF are as follows:

You or someone else on your joint account dies
You move away from a Sprint coverage area
You roam too much for several months consecutively

No. No discounts with corporate competitors.

in all instances....

Last time I checked VZW employess could receive a %10 discount on Sprints iDEN service.

Try setting the phone you wish to be canceled to roaming only....

moving out coverage is not a reason to avoid etf anymore since its not a SPrint fault but....
Have called into Care at least 90 times over a 6 month period (Average รƒยขโ€ยฐร‚ยฅ15 times/month). No ETF will be applied ...

not exactly how it works, basically sprint canceled quite a few "problem" customers. its one thing to call in if you have a legit problem but these people were calling in all the time for issues that were either already fixed, they just didn't get exactly what they wanted. Or for stupid reasons. We dont just cancel customers because they call in alot.

well sprint does it bcs each call to care cost to sprint abou $1.35 and its easier and cheaper to sprint to cancel wo etf than trying to resolve a very big issue.
1.35*90= $125.50
