Why is Sprint so difficult!!!
I bought a Katana last year for my girlfriend for Christmas. I bought the phone at retail price so it shouldnt of effected the upgrade. I call customer care and asked to do the esn swap and made sure with the lady that it wouldnt effect the upgrade and she said it wouldnt. Well last week I bought the Lg Muziq and my girlfriend really liked the phone. So she wanted to go ahead and do an upgrade so she could get the phone at a discounted price. She called up care to make sure she was elligible but of course when we did the esn swap for the Katana reseted the upgrade. The guy was very nice and said that he would put a code in so she could get the phone after explaining the situation. She went to the Sprint Store to get the phone but they were b...

Unfortunately you've been a victim of being miss informed. I don't want to go through what WAS wrong, I want to go forward and move ahead and help you and your girlfriend. Moral of the story here folks is :
Don't deal with anybody over the phone.
Come into a Cell Phone Store.
Then, you have somebody to hold accountable.

I have had decent dealings with the cs over the phone just the long waits on hold drive me nuts, but the local Sprint Store is great, they solve problems quickly.

You should now be able to wallk into your local corp Sprint store, and get the full rebate. There's a code that makes the account eligible for the rebate of $150. I did put notes on the account, so they can refer to me. Enjoy the Musiq.
