prl has nothing to do with roaming capabilites. it just simply tells the phone which network to roam off of first. this is why some times on your bill you will see a roaming charge even though there is free and clear america.

your phone will pick up a tower just because it is there. no matter who's tower it is as long as it is a compatable signal (in other words it is not tdma damps idean or gsm)

some people think you need prl to pick up new towers that is not true! i mean think of the shear logic! that every tower in the us some how has to be manually programed into the phone!!!

this may not be at all what oyu are thinking so if it is just ignore it i am just tired of uneducated sprint reps telling people they need prl to "pick up...
