Not as excited as I once was.
I have the original galaxy s and I'm concerned that the new one will have some of the same problems. I know everybody says at&t's service sucks, and I won't argue that point too much. We recently had our internet go out which means we didn't have microcell either, and I can say that while at&t's network didn't do a stellar job, my galaxy s did a very poor job. My wife has an iphone 4 that was able to draw at least 3 bars of EDGE service and could even play youtube videos while my galaxy S was struggling to get one bar of service and wouldn't even update my facebook or twitter apps. (which leads to a question, is it possible to turn off 3g on the galaxy s using stock software?) I love the phone, and was really looking forward to the dual ...

I've been reading up on some of the reviews of the phone in Europe and I'm seeing almost nothing but positive things. I'm kinda stoked, though I'm going to reserve judgement until I see what the iPhone 5 is like. Likely I'll go with one of those.

I'm really happy with the phones performance in moderate to good coverage. Unfortunately in my area the service is moderate to poor and that's where the galaxy s struggles. Most people won't review a phone in a poor service area, so that's one of those things i'll have to find out on my own. I am still excited for it, just not quite as much as I was.
