RIM Shows Off 'PlayBook' BlackBerry Tablet
Major questions unanswered....
1) How does the UI actually perform? Despite all of the hype, I didn't see any emphasis that it will "run like Calamari." In fact, other than the ripped-from-WebOS multitasking scheme, I don't know how the UI is even supposed to work- the video sorta-kinda dances around that. If this UI is so great, why wasn't it shown?
2) What's the data plan if you tether to a Blackberry? Why did they dance around this? Will it be fast enough to actually stream video if it's a BT PAN link?
3) Can you Video chat with the two cameras?
4) What's the estimated battery life? Why is there absolutely no mention of this? Not good.

It is a teaser. This Holiday season will see cheap netbooks and notebooks (again, ☹️) with the tablet taking off next year.
You are supposed to think twice about jumping in to something now, and wait till later

As far as a minimum of 3 months, try 6 to 9 months, its 2Q 2011.

Because it's not finished yet.

a) RIM isn't in charge of carrier pricing. You will get different rates for every carrier.
b) Bluetooth 1.0 caps out around 700 kbps. BT 2.0 has a theor...

The iPhone's UI wasn't finished in January of 2007, the iPad's wasn't in January of 2010, and the Pre's wasn't in January of 2009, but they were quick to show off how it worked. Both of those devices hit the market 6-7 months after they were introduced.
If RIM's isn't baked enough to show us how it works, I think that speaks for itself.
And if history has taught us anything, it's that RIM has no problem falling to meet its reputation (Storm.)
