I read they have a 2TB microSD card already designed by the SD.org folks but you know they're gonna milk it all the way until they get to that level.

IIRC, they have designed the microsd SDXC standard to comply with UP TO 2TB, but I'm not sure that anybody has actually created a card that holds 2TB yet.
