till we see a non engadget confirmation I will remain critical of it
...
Did you see the part in the article where it says "cooberates readers reports"? As in other people are confirming it, not just Engadget.
What did Engadget ever do to make you not trust them?
...
they are good at publishing stuff thats not true just to get the first story then retracting their stories later on unless its iphone news then they make sure to give you as much info as possible

I've tested the connection myself. It's life in Flushing and parts of Williamsburg.

Read subject. NYC suppose to have it by the end of next month, but we'll see. I'm just wondering what the 802.16e Enhanced numbers will look like in RL. On paper, it's looking pretty good.

I was one of the first people that have been reporting that NYC has 4g for about a month. It's a soft launch, and they seem to be testing it in certain areas. I did a report of the areas on Howard forums and elsewhere. 😉

The original poster seems to think Engadget lies to people!!!
I don't know what the deal is with him!

Whatever it's a blog get over yourself, stay on PS if you want confirmed news only.

I believe it. I have been using 4g all around the Provo/Orem, UT area and Salt Lake City still hasn't been announced as live yet.

(looking at your avatar) - I didn't know the android robot could pee! I really do learn something every day.

That new person has a cool usernme too huh? "Kramerica" from Seinfeld! It was an idea for a name for a company that Kramer came up with.

Very, very cool username!!! I'm a Seinfeld fan. Also, welcome to Phone Scoop it's about time you came to your senses and came to this awesome site & community 😁
Oh and I didn't know Wimax is available in Provo, Utah?!!!?
...
Don't be too critical. I live in Rochester NY. Projected launch of WiMAX is Middle of July. However, there are indeed 3-4 towers up and running for testing puposes. My Evo not only picked up the 4G signals, I also averaged 4.2Mbs in these areas. This is in all likelihood what NYC is experiencing as well. Once ready, they will activate all towers.

Good call.
They can't test the network without firing part of it up - have patience, everyone! It is worth waiting for. 🙂
