If I buy a phone at Best Buy and have future questions, do I go back to them or do I call customer service or go to a Corporate store?

I ask because the only way ppl have a bad experience is if a location can't "fix" their problem. If I have to go to a corp store for help then I would just buy the equipment their in the first place to make sure the place that can help stays in business.

Personally I think we will see more device manufacturer stores coming. Apple has done it. Nokia has some, Sony has a few, Motorola has a few. Usually they are in major cities but I like buying equipment from where I will get the help from.

Exactly...

This is the problem with retailers like Best Buy and RadioShack. They buy way more phones then independant dealers or corporate stores, allowing them to sell thee devices at ridiculously low prices without mail in rebates. This is all and good untill you have a customer walk out of best buy and spend 2 hours at a corporate location trying to receive contacts or set up an email account. It is BOGUS!

That's funny, because Best Buy Mobile associates often times spend 2+ hours with a customer setting all this up. Not to mention many carriers have eliminated data transfer machines from their stores, forcing corporate stores to send customers to Best Buy.

Exactly. I never had a problem with Best Buy Mobile. And I have plenty of know-how to setup my contacts and e-mail and whatnot even if I don't get it done at Best Buy Mobile.

The only issue I have with Best Buy is that at times their associates don't fully understand the product they are selling. It isn't unusual to see someone go to a store, buy a phone that requires data, but have only one of their lines changed to a data plan- meaning the other lines are on an older plan or messaging only plan- and then they get billed for two family plans, and often casual data charges on the lines they thought now had data but do not.

It isn't a difficult fix, but it does upset customers. Going to BestBuy is fine, but I'd recommend calling customer service to make sure everything was set up like you expected when you get done.

I would recommend the same no matter where you go. No matter what store you go to, there are uneducated people. I had several people come in from the AT&T corporate store and tell me that associates told them texting and internet was included free in their plan...

Same here. I've been very impressed with the quality of service I've received at my local Best Buy Mobile kiosks/outlets. And this is in South Florida--land of the 'tarded teenager.

I didn't know Motorola had any stores?!!!? I live in Las Vegas. And there is a Sony Style store @ the Forum Shops @ Caesars, and an Apple store @ the Fashon Show Mall. But I've never heard of Motorola having their own stores?
