Verizon landline doesn't want to sell because the wireless portion is basically all they have now (that and fios/backhaul.. which arn't profitable yet)

Not to mention that the FCC would most likely block it because they are touchy about foriegn companies owning too much stock in US telecom. Look at what happened to Tmobile a little while back

No Vzn FIOS in Las Vegas, but anyway, do you think all this all this Vzn FIOS backhaul they have will eventually benefit LTE, and pump out 30/50+ mbps?

Verizon FIOS is mostly on the East Coast of the US. Little to none on the West Coast and elsewhere...

Verizon is an excellent carrier, no questions asked. But merging with Vodafone would have let Verizon bring nicer phones into the States making other carriers wet their pants.
