Of course, I don't know the internal T-Mobile numbers, but there is definitely a market for T-Mobile...a very big one. Thing is, not everyone wants to go with Verizon and AT&T because of the higher prices. Sprint is still losing more customers than they are getting in. T-Mobile is a fine alternative and seem like they have some big plans for the future. I think we will see T-Mobile growing even faster than Sprint is.

Just came back with Sprint recently had them years ago and loving them didnt know what I was missing with the Android apps. Sprint has the best deals of the contract players and I dont see Tmobile overtaking them anytime soon esp if they continue to improve as they have been.

Sprint needs to SERIOUSLY improve their marketing if they hope to add customers. And no, I don't mean more "we're cheaper" ads. Verizon and ATT have been very good at pushing the "you get what you pay for." idea to customers, so if a carrier is coming back with "we're cheaper." customers will assume they are also inferior. And when reps (here and I've seen it in store) respond with "we're just as good as verizon when it comes to coverage because we roam off of them." a lot of customers still have a VERY negative view of roaming back from the days of regional plans.

I want Tmobile to do well just because I want other carriers to adopt the "bring the phone to us/pay retail and we'll give you a monthly discount."

Once again, I agree with your position in marketing, This would take an enormous amount of cash which Sprint lacks presently. The best marketing is great word if mouth, and unfortnately, Sprint lacks that as well. What gets me upset is the posters on PS that support Sprint in hopes of survival, yet shell out cash for another carrier. This is equivalent to supporting one politician and then voting for the other guy. I understand most PS posters are affiliates of other carriers that receive huge discounts and also understand some live outside of Sprint service. However, there are others that have the choice but only verbally support Sprint but not financially. Sprint needs unconditional support in all areas. I personally am attracted to the ch...

Dan should just hire me and then I would be glad to help him. 😎

Around here, literally, the only carrier worth their salt is Verizon. ATT, Tmobile, and Sprint all don't offer consistant voice, let alone anything like normal 3g. makes selling them easy.. but yeah.. not having a choice does suck (I'll be the first to admit that I love smoking people bragging about their iphones though). But that's the mountains. What I don't understand is that there is a LOT of money up here. (verizon even invested in fios in a few of the larger cities up here) so I would assume it would get better for the carriers.

In other news.. they completed more backhaul to the towers around here.. went from 1200-1400kbs to 1500-1700kbs

I don't mind ...

Would you prefer that I not support Sprint at all? Seriously, I would have switched to Sprint two or three years back, but I had my own phone and they still insisted upon a two year contract. Ummm...no. So as someone who does not have Sprint service, but wants them to thrive despite my circumstances I feel that is okay. Sorry if I do not meet your approval.

Azeron,
It is not my approval that needs to be met. It most definitely needs to be your own. My candid conversation was with Menno and is a of my own opinion. It does not represent Sprint's. I am just a subscriber of Sprint that is enjoying what they offer and feel they have made tremendous inroads in improving their native coverage performance as well as vastly improving their Customer Service. I want them to succeed. I do feel, "in my ooinion", that if an individual wishes to support Sprint at this current juncture, that it should be done unconditionally if that individual's geographical outline permits . What Sprint does not need, is ineffectual methods of cheerleading squads. It only becomes counter-productitve in making succeeding...

Yeah, they do. I believe they are the only one of the four major carriers that has no Month-to-Month option if one brings one's own handset to the party. I was trying to sign up with them when I worked for Verizon and was getting an employee discount on my phones, so... Now it would actually be cheaper to be with Sprint except that I have two lines under contract. Maybe they will change the policy one day. *Shrug* I guess I will quiet my sideline cheering in the meanwhile though I truly believe that having two large carriers and two medium ones is better than having only two humongous carriers.

Then that would make it only a couple of things I disapprove of Sprint's practices. I do hope they re-evaluate this procedure. It would be nice to have you experience the New Sprint without contractual agreements. Question though. Obviously if an individual is a GSM user, Their device would probably be rendered useless anyway. But would flashing a VZW device(such as yours), cripple the full capabilties of Sprint's services or do you have retired Sprint devices? I am not fully knowledgable on how that works. However, since I highly support insuring my devices anyway, I would not even think about recognizing the practice.

Where I live the only carrier that accepts ur own phone w.o contract on month-to-month is tmobile. If u have been with sprint, att, verizon for 2 years already u can add a phone or switch to ur own w.o a contract.
