Taxes start because they are supposedly needed for some purpose. But when that purpose is fulfilled, we find out the truth... they just want money to spend on whatever they want to do. Oh, did we finally cover enough of the freaking country with cell towers? Shall we stop taking the money? Hell no, let's spend it on something else.
