iPhone OS 3.0 Now Available
OS?
You dont even have MMS yet and only new users get video.
That sounds substandard to me
I can't shoot video (boo hoo). That leaves me only with an awesome, excellent mobile browser, a selection of wonderful, well design applications, excellent management of media capabilities, and superior synchronization on a phone with excellent reliability and UI performance.
And the Mobile Me is awesome ๐
Enjoy your toy. Ill wait for the Iphone 3Gs business edition before I ever consider joining the herd.
Its an update to the existing "iPhone OS 2.1 or 2.2 (i forget)"
what is your question really??? ๐คจ
An operating system multitasks and does other things....the IPHONE runs 1 application at a time, and if it didnt have the Apple brand you know good and well people would complain....and it wouldnt sell as well.
Sheep loves Apples
2. The iPhone OS does multitask. It doesn't allow for 3rd party applications to run simultaneously, but the web browser, mail client, music player, phone application, SMS application, user interface (installation while performing other actions), among other things all are capable of running simultaneously.
3. The iPhone supports more sophisticated APIs than almost every other mobile device on the planet at the moment. Download the iPhone SDK and compare Cocoa to say, what you get on a Blackberry... or even WebOS (which amounts to a fancy web browser but is still considered an OS.) Yes it allows for more entertaining games, but also allows for sophisticated document management software...
(continues)
2. Then that isnt true multitasking
3. So everyphone is an OS in their own right and should have to pay for the smartphone data plan right?

of all the internet used by mobile devices last year the iPhone made up 66% of the market... why shouldn't it cost $30 instead of 15?
The monthly cost of an iphone, is the same as a blackberry, or and AT&T Fuze (TP), or even the N71x. Take the pick of the one you want, no wrong choice.
