Does this mean an end to Google SMS?

If so, I'm gonna be so upset! I use it all the time. What a load of crap. How can we make a complaint to Verizon?

I have a stupid ? for you? What the heck is Google SMS? And what the heck is the difference between Google SMS, and regular txt messaging???

I've never heard of Google SMS, only Gmail.

Google SMS lets you make Google queries via text messaging. You send a text message to 46645 (GOOGL) ... something like "Pizza, Boston, MA" and it sends you back an SMS with places that sell pizza in Boston. You can also use it for white page/yellow page lookup and other types of searches ...

But, yes, I would think then that Google will get charged to respond to these requests, which would really suck if they decided to exclude Verizon.

Oh, well for the things that you mentioned I have Nokia Maps on my N95 and I can click on Options, Search, Places, Eat & Drink, and it pulls up places that are near to where I am.

I betcha most people go directly to Google on they're phone and make a query @ Google's website, and that a real good amount of people aren't even aware of the txt'g GOOGL service
