Offering 5.8 Billion doesn't sound very "Hostile"
Now if Samsung armed a factory full of workers with AK-47's and marched them into the SanDisk headquarters and demanded they sign over the company, THAT would be Hostile 😳 🤣

5.8 billion might look nice, but think about the integration, company philosophy, net gain or loss of jobs (including management/executives), closing of plants maybe...

A hostile takeover refers to buying a controlling interest without the cooperation/approval of the current management.

Thanks for the definition...I was just making a joke. I personally find it funny to use the word "Hostile" in a clearly un-hostile situation.

Who cares about the current management?! They ran the stockprice into the ground and a lot of investors got burned because of it. I hope Samsung runs every one of those chumps out on rails. All current SanDisk management worries about is their fat paychecks and bonus payouts. They could not care less about shareholder value. It would be great for SanDisk and their shareholders (owners), no doubt about it.

And exactly how often do you go to work with your sole goal being to make other people money? I hate when people get mad at executives for getting in, getting paid, and getting out.

Upper Management making money at the expense of shareholders, bradlee? I'm all for people making an honest living and if SanDisk Sr management ran the business the way they were supposed to by increasing shareholder value over time and/or paying dividends, I would not care one MicroSD what their salaries were. But, SanDisk stock has gone down so low it is now trading at the same price it was back in 2003. I place the blame squarely on Sr Mgr shoulders. Do you really think its OK to run a company into the ground then 'get out' as you say? Shame on you. How do you sleep at night?
