Sprint is not 1st to 4G because 4G isn't defined yet. WiMax is not 4G. Yet. It probably will be once the definition is complete, but there is still a chance that it won't be.

I totally agree Wimax is not 4G otherwise it would have been declared 3 years ago in Brazil.

WiMax is only new to the US. The other factor remains a constant that 2G, 3G, and 4G must be an evolution of cellular technology. Clearly this is not an evolution of Cellular but of Wireless Fidelity. (WiFi) This is Wifi with a 20-40 mile range.

Some people are declaring this 3G.

At the 20-40 mile range, WiMax would be considered dial up. WiMax will hit 3G seeds at the 1-2 mile range if you have a clear network with not many people. In order for it to go above 3G ...

Sprint did not go 3g first. VZW was first to deploy the DO.

Sprint murdered my father, and raped my mother.
