Verizon to Use Spectrum Winnings for LTE

Google never really wanted the Spectrum they just wanted someone to buy it. Yes, they did put bids in, but they also countered there own bids to make sure the price it was going at would be more profitable to the FCC. This forced the others interested to buy at the higher price point well above the reserve. This announcement from Google of there strategy seems to work well by getting the FCC more money they in turn may have a better chance of getting the "white space" they always wanted.
