if i understand right
once you have one of these, your talk time doubles, then when you run the "battery" down, its a trip to the store to buy more hydrogen to put in, this could get expensive fast... or maybe im just reading it wrong....
...
Seems that way to me too.
Heck, I'll believe it when it's actually on the market, I'm kinda pissed, I have the Nokia N95-3, and a spare battery for my phone is frinkin $55, that is absolutley outrageous!!!!!!
That's just as much as a car battery!!!!!
I've looked all over, I can't find a spare battery for my phone for less than $55.
...
Just hope your battery dies during business hours...

Yeah, I think the reason they never come out with these is that no one would actually buy them once they realized they have to get refilled periodically. What a waste of time.

For this to make SENSE, it would have to be a closed-cycle cell. H2 and O2 are bonded to become water, releasing energy in the process. The water is collected within the cell, and cracked back into H2 and O2 when the device is charged. But ultimately the cell would also have to be refillable as fuel for it would probably be lost over time.
The article doesn't seem to say one way or the other, but it's the only way that would make sense. Tanking up your phone with hydrogen on every recharge would be a little silly, unless these cells were going to last a long, long time on a single fill.

No. There are methods of making hydrogen out of nothing more than electricity and water so most likely you'd put water into some sort or receptical and then plut it into the battery. It would likely charge much faster too.
