that's... well interesting. Seems pretty spendy, especially when you've already forked out $400-$600 for the phone itself. They could have atleast given you more than 50mb for $60. I think they can do better.

hey, if you're going overseas enough to incur massive data charges, you can AFFORD any iPhone plan.

I would say a majority of the time those who are traveling overseas are traveling for business, and I dont know anyone who likes to spend a lot of money, regardless of whether or not they can afford it.

if you think it's expensive, show how you can get it cheaper on any other American Carrier

otherwise, it's proper market value =T

I was disagreeing with the comment stating that if someone could afford to travel oversees, they could afford high charges. And AT&T does charge more per megabyte than other carriers.

wah wah wah...

Then just don't use your iPhone overseas. (People who travel THAT much have a company iPhone, or a laptop.)

T-Mobile offers an unlimted blackberry email feature for international roaming @ $19.99/mo.

The only downside to that is it does not include web browsing.

considering ATT only has the iphone, it's kind of hard to show a cheaper comparision.

With Blackberry data add-ons, there is no roaming charges for data use internationally. T-Mobile's total internet addons don't charge for international data roaming either.

T-Mobile's current internet add-ons DO charge for roaming internationally. They did not used to, but starting in 2003 they began charging for it. The same goes for Blackberry service.

The price is comparable to Verizon's lowered Blackberry rates, but you get unlimited data with the BB.

iPhone with data & 450 minutes - 59.99. Add 24.95 for 20mb international data = 84.94

VZW Blackberry with data & 450 minutes, plus additional $20 for overseas roaming w/ unlimited data: 89.98.

So VZW's price is only five bucks more, and you get unlimited data instead of being capped at 20mb.

correct, but the iphone is the only phone with an actual built in web browser which, when you use it, incurs a HELL of a lot more data usage than just a mobile browser. trust me, i've seen $10,000 phone bills from people traveling using their iphones. i'd rather pay 60$ than 10 grand.
