It's a European handset=NO love!!!!!!
Agreed. When are we going to get camera phones in the U.S. with 5 mega-pixel cameras? That's why I don't have a camera phone now, the picture quality of 2 mega-pixel cameras is so poor, they aren't worth having!
Supposedly, AT&T is getting the Sony Ericsson K850, it has a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, and records video at 30fps!!! It also has a xenon flash!!!
So, hopefully they'll launch it soon!!! I certainly intend to get it, it's just a matter of getting some overtime on my job, and getting the money together.
If you take a look at the N95 pictures, they're pretty good for a camera phone, but they won't compare to a 5MP standalone camera though.
I've heard of Carl Zies, but I never heard of the second optical lens you mentioned.
Personally, I'm really, really hoping ATT picks up the Sony Ericsson K850, like they're suppose to be, ...supposedly!!!

Either:
a) When carriers are no longer the deciding factor in what phones are released in the US;
b) When Americans are willing to pay for them;
OR
c) RIGHT NOW, since Nokia sells the N95 in the US.
and on a side note, phonescoop still says it's not available from any us carriers right now

A third version of the Nokia N95 multimedia computer has cleared the FCC. This newest version includes quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band WCDMA 850/1900 for use in the States. It carries over most specifications from the standard European version, including 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth, GPS and a 5 Megapixel camera. It runs the Symbian S60 platform, and has a microSD slot for media storage. None of the versions are officially offered by any U.S. carrier, but this version will work on AT&T's 3G network. There is no word on what pricing will be.
Out of stock at the moment. Guess they're selling pretty well. Some Nokia stores have them as well.
Cameraphones outsell digital cameras 4:1
The people that make these thing know this.
They are constantly packing more and more into a smaller package.
They are doing their best. They want your money.
If you think back, cameraphones were barely released on 2001. In 6 years we have gone from .05 MP to as much as 5,6,7,8 MP on a phone.
Samsung rocks
