data is not mandatory you can easily buy a pda online activate it online and use it for voice only good luck on the bill tho... why spend so much on a pda then be CHEAP and not want data

However, if you take the unlimited data VZW will take another $50 or $100 off of the price of the device (online) - depending on the device and the voice package.
With the online discount, the "new every 2" and the unlimited data discount I only paid $99 for the i760.

Didn't they learn anything from the v710 fiasco and lawsuit. Seems like exactly the same thing advertising a feature and not providing it. Sounds like they need another lawsuit to show them the way. It's really annoying for them to advertise an "Unlimited" data plan when it isn't.
