Great accomplishment...it only took 2 years after the merger to finally get a "test call" to work.

Who really wants to press a button every time they want to talk? Why not just press talk once and use the free mobile 2 mobile that is included with every sprint plan (except affiliate markets).

Just my 2 wooden pennies.

You are not thinking about the value of PTT to certain individuals, mostly large companies. For the average Joe it may not be important but for a company with a large workforce with teams that need to be able to communicate instantly without having to go through to many options it's great. For example if your company has 100+ employees and they all use PTT phones, your company is assigned a fleet number and each individual phone is assigned an id number after the fleet ranging from the #1 to 100. If you need to get in contact with a person and you know their ID is 34 you press 34 on your phone, hit the PTT buttong and you are connected instantly. This sounds like the same argument I hear about text messaging. "Why text someone when you can just pick up the phone and call them?".

It's WAY easier to push a button and instantly communicate with someone rather than waiting for them to maybe pick up the phone after about 4 rings, and then sometimes getting their voicemail and playing message tag.

Having a Powersource phone with SMS text messaging AND PTT saves me a lot of time and trouble communicating with others. Telephone conversations are twentieth century, in my opinion!

Powersource phones are worthless right now. The only one worth anything is the ic902, and I have to give a kudos to Motorola for that one because most of their phones on the CDMA network are crap (ie, the Q, C290).

My wife and I both have PS phones and we love them! 😁 The reception on these phones is the best on any we've ever had.

I took a chance going with them because where I work, Sprint PCS does not have a strong signal. I've had NO problems either using the phone part or the walkie.

Others I work with have Sanyo and Samsung (Sprint) phones, and complain that their's cut out on them and lose service.

I've never used the C290, but I have had some Moto phones with reception issues.
