why does AT&T get nearly all of the hot blackberrys

It doenst make much sense that they mention UMA when Tmo is the only company doing it. They also own 6000 hotspots and have plans that include them.
What I dont get it - the article actually mentioned Tmobiles UMA, then goes on to say that the phone will be used with ATT.
Whos the mental case on this site? Besides me, that is.
...
I guess because they proclaim in their latest TV ads that they're "America's leading provider of Blackberry service."
...
actually they say "the WORLDS leading provider of blackberry service"! 🤣 🤣 🤣 which is rediculous when you consider they only operate in the usa but companies like vodaphone, tmo, etc operate in a number of countries and have far more customers worldwide
...
AT&T has more Blackberry users on its network than any other carrier. That is why they are the World Leader of Blackberry Service.
...
UMA is planned to be released sometime with at&t actually, just dont know when
...
Actually, the way it's mentioned in the article, it is used as an example, with the words, "such as".
...
Simple, because they have more blackberry customers in the US than any other carrier.
...
Right, and Blackberry use is larger in North America then in other areas.
...
You can have them. Until Blackberry puts video record on them, you can have them.
...
You know what... I'd rather they get it first... that way all of the bugs are worked out for the T-Mobile version... and once people find out it's for HotSpot@Home... everyone will either a) get it unlocked for TMO or b) just switch to TMO to use it. I don't see an advantage AT&T has with getting this phone first...
...
...have a lot of pi$$ed off curve customers that just dropped some large coin for their new phones, that are now outdated less than 2 months from release!
...
Nevermind, I didn't realize that it was a different model than the curve. 🤭
...
yeah the curve is still a great device, and I dont think people will be that pissed.
I think my next phone will be a BB, i really like what they are doing right now and their innovation seems to be second to none!

Yeah, right now I'm sold on BlackBerry. I've had a 7280 and I just acquired a used 7100g. I'm very impressed with the signal, the call quality, the battery life, and the durability of the devices. I didn't like the form of the 7280 with the full QWERTY keyboard, but that's personal preference. I'm hoping RIM will come out with an update to the Pearl that has wifi, as I personally like that form factor and the trackball better than the scroll wheel.
Even though I want more, kudos to RIM for great quality.
...
The real reason why at&t gets it first, outside of some kid of exclusive deal they may or may not have with RIM is at&t has far more business customers then TM. TM really doesn't market to the business community, and this is the main user of Blackberries.

..i want bush, pan down!!!!!

According to our Blackberry rep for T-Mobile, she said we WILL be getting this phone around this september. the articles does mention that it is EXCULSIVE to either our carrier or AT&T. to there is no contract for either company to get this model blackberry. Also AT&T may have more blackberrys but t-mo has blackberry service worldwide, and there is an unlimited data plan for overseas usage. we also have a personal RIM rep for each of our markets. so according to the minneapolis market we are getting it soon.
