Oh No Moto!

Is it me or does it seem that they are copying lg's handsets? Making LG junior handsets and charging more for them is not a real way to drive the business. I think they would have made more money making the razr as basic as possible and make money on the phone as a low end handset.

They'll be okay, as soon as they make a slider Q!

Copying LG?? What kinda stash are you smokin???
Your post didnt make any sense at all.

Here's hoping that the V8, V9, V9m and Z9 and Z8 can help Moto turn around a little bit.

What kinda stash am I smoking? Apparently its the same kind of stash you sold to moto if you don't see moto running behind lg with every handset that comes out.

Check it out. The v8 is the upgraded lg 8600. Look at the 8500 versus the rokr. Moto's strength has always innovative orginality.

Come on guy, that's not copying. Those handsets barely resemble each other, both in terms of looks and features.

How did I miss out on all these stash transactions? I want in!

PS Moto needs to stop kicking the dead horse that is the Razr. Yeah it was a great success, but they need to come up with something new. Not just another prom date for the original.

Motorola, down fall is marketing. Take for xample the Rokr E2 & E6. Both phones run the newer os but are sold over seas only this is stupid. The Rokr E2 is actually more advanced in some aspects than a smartphone according to many reviews. But Motorola refuses to market phones in the US unless they are flip phones (& now sliders) this is not good for business. Another poor decision is making to many triband phones. It is crazy since most can be hacked to enable the quadband. Take a chance Motorola release some of these Asia targeted phones in the US see if your sales don't improve. They need better marketing strategy.

Um, actually no. Motorola's biggest hits ARE in the overseas markets.

And releasing more advanced phones in the US has never been a particularly lucrative endeavor (until the iPhone, and it remains to be seen how well that will do in the long run). All customers here would do is complain about how expensive the phones are, how they'll never use most of the features and try to figure out ways to get them for free.

I agree with the Cokeman 😳 . Anyway, they do not market a large variety of phones here in the states like they do overseas. I bought the V3x two years ago and at work all my customers love my phone so much better than the Razr, Krzr, and Slvr because there are so many of the same thing. change it up here and watch popularity soar!

If this is true.. Which it isn't, it sure would explain why Motorola sucks so bad. Lg and Motos are the only phones I get returned daily. I'm sure most salesmen will agree with me on that. Every once in a while Samsung will release a bad phone, but not nearly the consistency of Moto and Lg.

I would have to disagree. At our stores we only sell Moto, LG, and Samsung. And we rarely have problems. The problems were consistant when we sold audiovox and Nokia. The LG vx8300 is by far one of the best handsets ever made. The v325 is a great sound quality phone. Some battery issues but thats after at least 9 months of use usualy. I think the Moto V9m, for Verizon is going to turn the sales back in the right direction.

I have to disagree with you. I think the Sanyo 8400 is one of the best ever made. Your telling me you've never gotten a Razr or a Chocolate back. I used to get one back almost everyday when I worked selling Sprint, TM, and VW.

Also Mr. Verizon fan boy I have had many complaints on the LG vx8300. Especailly on the feature portion of the phone. Those front buttons on the phone are also crap. The Moto v325 is also a piece and looks like a pre-paid phone. I enjoyed the v600 more than that phone.

I'm not saying i've never had a returned 8300 or moto. We sell up to 100 of those phones a month in a couple of our stores and 95% of our customers are very pleased. If you want to tough talk me over a forum, more power to you. My point of my first reply was to state the V9m is going to be a good replacement and will get motorola going in the right direction.

Well I sure hope so. The last Moto phones that I have bought was the Rizr and Krzr and was very disappointed by the features on the Krzr.

*Buy*. I bought it for my Mom for mothers day. She picks I buy. I also own the Samsung m620, m610, m500, Sanyo M1, 6600 and 8400. All of which I've used. The Rizr and KRZR are TM along with my HTC MDA.
